A vision board is a visual representation of your intentions, goals, dreams and desires. It is a method of using pictures to show where you want to go and what you want to get out of life. I've been doing this for many years and each year I fall more and more in love with the concept. My dreams stop being abstract, and it forces me to take a step back and revaluate what I really want out of life, thus creating clarity in my mind of what success looks like to me.

By placing your vision board someplace where you can see it regularly it helps remind you what you want to do, be, and have. As well as ensure that you continue to move towards those things, both consciously and subconsciously. The universal law of attraction shows that if we focus on what we want, versus what we do not want, the more likely we are to attain it.

While having a vision board statistically and scientifically heightens your chances to reach your goals, on its own it’s not enough. Your desires are not just going to magically appear while you sit on the couch watching “Orange is the New Black” for the 7th time (guilty.) You have to seize opportunities when they are presented to you and overcome those psychological blocks, such as fears and phobias, that prevent you from succeeding.

Now, go get crafty and let your vision board be a catalyst for creating the life you were born to live!
